Safety Guidelines

General Safety Practices

At Snow Sports Unlimited, your safety is of the utmost importance. We are dedicated to ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Trained Instructors: All of our instructors are certified and follow industry standards to ensure safety during lessons.
  • Appropriate Gear: Participants are required to wear proper safety gear, including helmets and appropriate clothing, to protect against injuries and cold weather conditions.
  • Lesson Safety: Follow all instructor guidelines, and be aware of your surroundings at all times while on the slopes. Make sure to communicate any discomfort or concerns during the lesson.
  • Weather Conditions: Always check weather conditions before heading out to the slopes. Extreme weather can increase risk, and it’s important to adhere to any weather warnings issued by resorts or instructors.
Slope Etiquette
  • Control and Awareness: Always maintain control of your speed and be aware of other skiers and snowboarders to avoid collisions.
  • Yielding: Yield to those ahead of you on the slope, as they have the right of way. When merging or starting from a stop, look uphill and yield to others.
  • Stopping: Avoid stopping in narrow spots or where you cannot be seen from above.
Emergency Procedures
  • On-Site First Aid: In case of an injury, immediately notify your instructor or nearby staff. First aid assistance is available at all participating resorts.
  • Emergency Contacts: Familiarize yourself with the emergency contact numbers provided by your resort, and make sure someone in your group knows how to reach ski patrol.
